Where will my sessions be held?
I am a natural light, on-location photographer. Together, we will choose the perfect location for your session. Newborn sessions are held in your home.
My kid won't sit or pose for photos, what should I do?
Who actually enjoys dedicating 30-60 minutes of their time to being guided into poses that can sometimes feel awkward and uncomfortable? Not me and definitley not any kids I know. Whether you're a child or an adult, the conventional "photo poses" tend to lose their appeal rather quickly, if not right from the start.
When it comes to photographing children, I take a different approach. I provide guidance while encouraging them to engage in activities like running, jumping, spinning, playing with bubbles, and more. I offer simple instructions and then let the kids be kids.
The result? You'll have authentic photos of your kids being themselves, engaging in the pure essence of childhood.
When should my newborn session take place?
Your newborn photography session is best scheduled within the first two weeks of your baby's life. This early timeframe is known as the "golden window" for several reasons:
- Sleepiness and Flexibility: Newborns are sleepier and more flexible during this period, allowing for those classic curled-up poses.
- Perfect Skin: Babies typically have flawless skin during their first weeks, with fewer blemishes or skin conditions.
- Early Moments: It's when your baby is at their tiniest and their features are in their newborn stage.
-Safety: Safety is paramount during newborn sessions. Newborns are at their most delicate during the first few weeks, and I am trained to handle them with the utmost care and attention to safety. Sessions are planned to accommodate the specific needs of very young babies.
